Costco is among the S&P 500’s worst performers today. An analyst still says it’s a ‘safe place to hide.’

Shares of Costco Wholesale Corp. were down 2.5% on Friday, making it one of the S&P 500’s worst performers for the day, following quarterly results a day earlier that were marked by weaker-than-expected same-store sales and slipping membership-renewal rates.
